A Love Letter to Balboa
For the past ten years, we have watched you grow.
Our little baby that started as a seed and grew into such a beautiful thing. From the Creed screen writer’s lunch program to a tiny Chefs kitchen on Susquehanna. From small intimate pool parties to farm dinners. From supper clubs in the Shambles to dinner parties in venues. From weddings on farms to weddings at The Deacon, BOK, Location 215 and many more. From weddings in venues to weddings on private properties. From events on private properties to working with the Pennsylvania Ballet. Through all these years, we have loved, cared and nurtured you. Watching you blossom, seeing how the magic of our food lit up our diner’s faces.Creating culinary driven memories, creating new friends and allies. While we did not expect to end our journey in this way, we believe this next chapter will be an exciting one. And, while we are not sure where this chapter will lead us, we know that our food will bring happiness to you again in the near future. So, as we say goodbye to our beloved Balboa with heavy hearts, we would like to thank you for all of your love and support throughout the past years. Thank you wonderful diners and thank you to our first baby, Balboa for teaching us so much.
With love and gratitude,
Alex and Jocelyn Garfinkel
